About Kinchaku
Kinchaku is a team building software for the people who run the front lines of hospitality — and we build the way we do because we’ve stood behind those counters ourselves.
We started Kinchaku after watching the same story play out everywhere: an operator wins a guest once, then spends staff time and ad budget trying to win them back — while juggling seven disconnected tools to do it. We thought that was backwards, so we set out to fix it: one platform that sells, serves, and recognises every guest, with nothing new for them to install.
What we believe
- The guest already has a wallet. Don’t make them install your app to walk through your door.
- Staff shortages are structural, not seasonal. Software should absorb the work — not pile on another dashboard to babysit.
- The guest you’ve already won is worth more than the one you’re chasing. Most tools ring the sale and forget the relationship. That’s the layer we fill.
- One platform beats seven vendors duct-taped together. Seven logins, seven invoices, nothing that talks — that’s not a stack, it’s a tax.
Where the name comes from
Kinchaku is the Japanese word for a drawstring pouch — a design old enough to trace back to the Jōmon period. By the Edo era it was everyday carry: the pouch you hung at your waist to keep valuables, charms, and your inrō close and safe.
We took the name on purpose. A kinchaku is simple, practical, and built to protect what matters — which is exactly what we want to be for the people who run a business: something that guards your money and your time, and never gets in your way.
